ST. Thomas Classic  Recap

  In the Gold Division the St. Thomas Eagles came out  victorious and silenced critics from last weekend.  In a rematch of  last weekends championship game (Charlie Thomas Classic) vs HCYA were the Eagles were defeated, this time the Eagles soared high in an epic battle.  The Eagles went 4-0 during the weekend.  Christian Sanders won the MVP award for the ST. Thomas Classic.







  In the Silver Division the Second Baptist Eagles went 3-1 and  crusied to a championship victory vs Kinkaid. Charles Allen was once again MR. Consistent leading his team in scoring for the weekend with more than 20pts a game. The Eagles from Second Baptist were just too deep for Kinkaid and were able to use there size to make Kinkaid uncomfortable.

 In the Bronze Division the Village School went 3-1 on their way to defeating CC John Paul in the championship game. Shaquille Cleare was the target for all opponents, he saw several double and triple teams and still managed to be effective.

MVP-6'4 combo guard (2012) Christian Sanders -ST. THOMAS HS - Scored key baskets whenever his team needed them. Led his team to victories just flat out got it done over the weekend.

-6'7 guard (2014) Justin Jackson-HCYA- Big time scorer  and sharpshooter more athletic version of Reggie Miller has a great feel for the game. The kid simply wins games. Had to 30pt games in the event.

-6'0 guard (2013) Ken Williams-EPISCOPAL HS- Big time Scorer has  tremendous range and puts massive pressure on the opposing teams guards.

6'7 wing(2011) Jonathan Holmes-SA ANTONIAN HS- Very Athletic wing player who plays above the rim, long rangy ,quick leaper. Very versatile can play inside or out.

6'8 post(2012) Shaquille Cleare-VILLAGE HS- Highly skilled post player, athletic has great footwork and soft hands and plays with power.

6'9 post(2012) Jeremy King -ST THOMAS HS- Long rangy shot blockers, athletic big that  has a huge upside. Makes plays on both ends of the floor.

 6'0 guard (2012) Chase Brogna-ST THOMAS HS- Very skilled heady, guard, that can flat out shoot the basketball, and runs a team extremly well.  Scored double digits every game of the tournament.

                                                                                           

 6'9 Forward (2012) Donrad Knowles-HCYA- Very athletic forward that can play inside or outside. Runs the floor well and simply makes plays.Very long and rangy.

6'8 Forward(2011) Darrius Hamilton-SA ANTONIAN- Very strong post player that rebounds well and scores inside. Runs the floor well and blocks a ton of shots.

6'2 Guard(2011) Charles Allen-Second Baptist- Led his team in scoring and made plays in key situation. Finishes well around the rim and plays hard.  Very strong guard.
